It is not easy being a parent or student today. There are so many different sources of information – tutoring agencies, education consultants, revision course companies – it is easy to feel overwhelmed.

If you would rather talk directly to the tutor, allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Alex, and I work one on one with students, identifying knowledge gaps and helping them feel more academically confident. I specialise in entry tests, from 11+ secondary school to Oxbridge applications, and exam preparation, especially GCSE and A-level maths and physics.

My tutoring style is patient, friendly and methodical, building on the tricks and tips I have learned from thousands of hours of one-on-one tutoring over the past 10 years. Here is some feedback from recent clients, with plenty more visible in the Testimonials tab:

Alex’s teaching is enjoyed by both my son and daughter, and they find strength in having Alex help them. His very calm style is very helpful as my children both are cool headed. I surely would recommend Alex!!!
My son passed his Eton, Harrow, Westminster 1st stage… Well done dear Alex!!!

PARENT of 10 Y/O & 17 Y/O

Alex has been tutoring my son for 6 months in weekly online lessons. These have been to prepare him for 16+ entrance to UK boarding schools (including the interviews) and upcoming iGCSE exams in maths and physics. Alex’s tutoring has shown great success! My son has moved up several IGCSE grade levels (from the range of 4-5 to 7-8) in school tests, and gained admission to both schools he applied to, Rugby and Shrewsbury.
We couldn’t be more pleased and highly recommend Alex as a tutor. My son has said he appreciates Alex’s ability to explain things clearly and as a parent, I’ve found Alex to be very professional in his approach.

Alex has been tutoring my daughter, after she decided to take advance math at the end of her first term of A-levels. I have found that his help had a very positive impact on her, and I rate him highly for her progress in math, economics, and the TSA test that got her accepted ultimately in Oxford university in economics & management.
