About me
Oxbridge Education and Experience
Having studied at the University of Oxford – earning a First Class Masters in Mathematics – I have helped hundreds of students through the Oxbridge application process for mathematical and scientific subjects.
First, as a mock interviewer on “Oxbridge Preparation Days”, visiting top secondary schools across the UK and France.
Second, as a one-on-one mentor, providing guidance on personal statements, entry exams and interviews.
Teaching in China
In 2019, I partnered with Carry International to devise and teach a month-long problem solving and language programme in Suzhou, China, teaching a class of 10-11 year olds. The programme successfully achieved its goal of preparing students for the type of entrance tests used by top secondary schools in the UK and the US.
Career as a Private Tutor
Tutoring started out as a part-time activity while I was working in industry – first as a financial consultant, and later an insight specialist in the film industry. Drawn to the appeal of greater autonomy in my professional life, I made the leap to self-employed living. Years later, I have never looked back!
Over the past 10 years, my tutoring experience has grown and continued to be as rewarding as ever. And due to the ease of remote tuition, I have helped students in over a dozen countries, including India, China, Nigeria, Russia, the UAE and Australia.
Now I am fully focused on being an independent tutor, based in London.
